I was living between 3 houses and juggling all that goes with that and Tanya really stepped up whenever I needed assistance with the listed home. She found a buyer when the market was slowing down but because of a hurricane, a tropical storm, and my own snafu caused by a sink overflow, the 1st time home buyer got spooked and backed out.
As soon as I had the house dried out and repaired Tanya had another buyer for us in just 3 days. What a relief that was! Tanya seriously went above and beyond to help us out for which I am extremely grateful. We first met Tanya when she was trying to find a house for our son just after the Covid period. She did a fabulous job under the most trying conditions. Nothing was too much trouble and she found the perfect house for their needs and budget. Then followed it up, with mortgage arrangements, house inspections and legal representation. "Now that the unpacking dust has settled (well mostly) I want to share with y’all about our real estate experience.
We could not be more thrilled with our realtor, Tanya Sjodin. As first-time sellers, we didn’t know much about the process. Tanya made everything so easy and I want to talk specifics.
First, she had our home power washed, directed in detail what we needed to purge to be ready, staged our home with her own items and walked us through every question. She even coordinated flooring and paint quotes for the repairs we needed.
Our home was on the market quickly for a broker preview and was open on the MLS a short time after. We had showing after showing almost instantly and Tanya kept us informed almost immediately after each one.
Once we had an offer, she called to walk us through. Educated us on what would get us to closing and then helped us confirm a good counter.
After they accepted, we were on to inspection, another process Tanya had to walk us through. Their inspection report was 131 pages and she went through it with us in detail.
The buyers requested repairs we thought were unreasonable and Tanya agreed. Helping us to decipher what to do, recommending getting our own quotes and ensuring we responded within the requisite time. Her diligence resulted in the buyers accepting our repair counter in less than 30 minutes at about a quarter of the cost they had initially requested.
She was available by text or phone 24/7, and trust me, I had a zillion questions. She also was tenacious on our behalf, always fighting for what we wanted to ensure we got what we felt we deserved every step of the way.
The day of closing she confirmed with the attorney all the way up until we were funded.
